Guys Gift Guide

You hear it all the time. It’s really hard to buy gifts for the guys in our lives.

Of course, this is a generalization. My Dad is the easiest person in the world to shop for. Seriously. He’s thrilled if you buy him a pair of warm, cozy socks. (Thanks, Dad!)

My husband, on the other hand, falls into the “Extremely Difficult to Shop For” category.

He’s particular, has strong opinions, and he has good taste. He’s also notorious for “disposing” of gifts he doesn’t like, so pressure’s on.

With Father’s Day, graduations and lots of anniversaries upon us, I wanted to share some of the gifts I’ve given Sam that have been big hits, and one that I can’t wait to give him.

James Perse T-shirts

There’s just something about a really nice, quality tee. One that fits perfectly and feels good on your skin.

So many men’s tees are boxy – kind of like a rectangle with sleeves. It’s not a good look.

James Perse T-shirts have a slimmer, and much more flattering (in my opinion), cut. They are not cheap – but for us they’ve been worth the investment and worn over and over and over again.

Note: My husband typically wears a Large and is usually a size 3 in these shirts.

Kühl Jackets & Athletic Shirts

Hubs just loves this brand, particularly the jackets, shackets and athletic shirts. I’m not kidding when I say rarely does a day go by that I don’t see this logo somewhere on his body.

I like that they play with seaming to give a unique twist on their shirts. I’m kind of a sucker for the shoulder panels they do. And, I have to admit to stealing the jackets on chilly nights for just the right amount of warmth. This one is his current fave.

Yeti Mugs & Coolers

There is So. Much. Yeti. In. Our. House. From coffee to cocktails, pretty much everything Sam drinks is out of a Yeti mug. He’s mildly obsessed with how well they keep drinks both hot and cold. And, that they look cool and feel good in his hand. (If you’re feeling fancy, you can even customize it with his name.)

And don’t even get me started on the cooler obsession. I’m pretty sure we have one in every size. We love them for bringing our own food on road trips, short or long, and bringing food to friends’ houses for potlucks.

Manscaped Lawn Mower

If you are giving this to a partner, this is a gift for you disguised as a gift for him.

Because this tool has an inherent cool factor, it gets used more often.

Need I say more? Check it out here.

SodaStream

If your guy is the type who forgets to drink water all day long, try this. I have been fighting the “did you drink water today?” battle with Sam for years, and buying him this product is what made me finally stop asking that question daily.

Make sure to take a couple of measurements in your kitchen before deciding which model works best for you.

We went with the Art model which fits perfectly under our floating shelves.

A Personal Enneagram Session

If your guy prefers a gift that is an experience, I highly recommend gifting him an Enneagram session with leadership coach, Ali Dunn.

He will take the Enneagram assessment on his own, then Ali will share what his type is and loads of information about his type. He will learn about his motivations, thinking patterns, action patterns, feeling patterns and blind spots.

He will take away a super informative packet filled with language that helps describe him that he can share with you – WIN! And, if he prefers to do things like this together, you can book a couples’ session. Double win. (Don’t tell Sam, but this is what I’m getting him for our anniversary.)

Book here and tell her Jessica sent you.

I hope these ideas take a little bit of the stress out of gift giving this season.

If you decide to get any of these gifts for any of your guys, leave a comment and let me know. Happy shopping!
