Do I Love Podcasting?

If you’ve been following along, you know I’ve been pouring my heart into the Belong Wellness podcast for the past several months. Lately, one of the questions I get asked most often is:
“So… do you love podcasting?”
Today’s minisode is my honest answer.
Yes, I Really Do Love It
There’s something exhilarating about learning a new craft from the ground up. Podcasting has pushed me to:
• Learn new technology and software
• Research a brand-new industry
• Challenge my brain in fresh ways
• Connect with amazing midlife women I may never have met otherwise
Those conversations, that creativity, and the chance to share science-based information? That’s what lights me up.
But It’s Not All Rainbows & Unicorns 🌈🦄
Podcasting is also a lot of work. Right now, I’m doing it all myself — sourcing guests, episode prep, recording, editing, marketing, and producing. That’s by choice—I wanted to learn every step of the process—but it’s not sustainable.
My background in marketing and SEO means I hold myself to a high standard, which makes it even harder to delegate. But I’m building the systems and templates that will eventually let me hand things off, so I can create more breathing room.
Purpose = Longevity
One of the biggest reasons I keep going? It fulfills my sense of purpose.
When I was in health coaching school, I learned something fascinating: people who can clearly describe their purpose in life live longer, healthier lives. That idea stuck with me — and podcasting is one way I stay connected to my “why.”
So let me turn the question back to you: Can you put your reason for being into a few sentences? It’s a powerful exercise to revisit every year or so.
