Perimenopause (Jessica’s Version)
Hello, my friend, and welcome to the Belong Wellness podcast!
I am your host, Jessica Long.

There have been so many times that I have been, unfortunately literally, floored by my perimenopause symptoms. From fatigue so intense I get back in bed at 10am, to body aches and soreness, to cramping and heavy bleeding, it hasn’t been a pleasant ride so far.
In episode two of my podcast, I open up about my journey so far, right here from the messy middle. I talk about all of my symptoms, or at least the ones I can remember because forgetfulness is one of them. And yes, I include the embarrassing ones.
I also share some of the nutrition and lifestyle changes that have helped me along the way as well as the hormones I am currently taking, and why.
I’m telling my story because I find comfort in hearing others’ stories. They remind me that I am not alone and not crazy. I’ve historically been a pretty private person, but this is something I am willing to open up about for the greater good, and to pave a smoother path for our daughters.
And if my story brings you some comfort, or inspires you in even the smallest way, then it’s all worth it.
